The heart of Fynewood has to be our saw mill. Whether we are cutting hardwood for furniture, logs for cabins, or mantles to frame a fireplace it all starts on the mill!
Our wood is sourced from local sustainable sources. Typically, our hardwood will come to us from local tree surgeons, arborists and land owners.
Our FSC certified softwood (larch and Douglas fir) comes from forests in Argyll.
Figured elm, ash, oak and yew are our biggest sellers and we have a large selection of pieces ranging from slabs to smaller off-cuts, perfect for any project. If you want us to build you something bespoke, or just give advice on a project we are here to help.
We also stock a wide range of ‘Chestnut’ wood products and oils perfect for finishing your projects.
